(It’s Still the Same Bright Moon but Space and Time have Shifted)

My first Mid-Autumn Festival (a.k.a. Moon Festival) in Victoria, I was so impressed by the moon’s clarity, roundness, and brightness. It made me think of the moon in Taipei, my hometown. When I was little, I often heard a Chinese saying: "Is the moon overseas really rounder?" That night I took out a piece of stone and cut a seal with the moon light sifting through my windows. |
